English football side, Arsenal has signed Nigerian u17 captain Kelechi Nwakali on a five-year contract, according to the player’s agent.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had confirmed in January that the club was looking into a deal with Nwakali and his Golden Eaglets teammate Samuel Chukwueze.
Now, Nwakali’s agent has claimed that a deal has been agreed between the two parties with a 2m Pounds transfer fee and a five year contract.
He will be expected to join up with the Arsenal youth side until he turns 18.
Nwakali was captain of the Nigerian U17 National team, which won the country its fifth u17 World Cup in Chile 2015.
He won the Golden Ball as the best player of the tournament in that World Cup
