Adam Johnson Parties All Night Ahead Of Sentencing For Child Sex Offences

Former England footballer and convicted sex offender, Adam Johnson has reportedly been partying it up ahead of his sentencing.

It will be recalled that he has been convicted of two counts of sexual activity with a child plus another of grooming.

The Sun report that the disgraced former Sunderland player spent Saturday night having an all-night party at his home in County Durham, which he is not allowed to leave between the hours of 7pm and 7am.

The 28-year-old will be sentenced next week, and has been told to expect a significant custodial sentence by Judge Jonathan Rose, who said: “You must expect to receive a substantial prison sentence.

“These are extremely serious offences. I am going to admit you to bail so you can put your matters in order and say goodbye to your daughter. I anticipate the prison sentence means you will not see her for some time.”

The sentence is expected to be around four to five years – short of the maximum of ten for the offences, but still significant – and Johnson appears to have been trying to make the most of his time before being locked up.

The newspaper quoted an onlooker who saw a pair leaving the house the next morning, one still swigging an alcoholic drink. The onlooker said that the pair “waltzed down to the gates and were pressing every button in a bid to get out. They were there for a couple of minutes trying to figure it out. Johnson’s dad Dave then came out and opened the gates for them.”

Johnson’s sister appears to have recently started a ‘Justice for Johnson’ campaign, claiming that the 28-year-old was wrongly convicted.
