Harry Redknapp May Be The Next Super Eagles Manager

Former Portsmouth and QPR manager, Harry Redknapp may be the next Super Eagles manager according to reports making rounds.

Nigeria are in disarray having failed to qualify for the African Nations Cup and have targeted Redknapp to head up their 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

Redknapp was handed his first chance at international football when he coached Jordan on an interim basis.

Redknapp, 69, said he enjoyed the international scene as Jordan beat Bangladesh 8-0 before losing 5-1 to Australia in Sydney this week.

He is an advisor at Derby until the end of the season but could be persuaded to take a new big-money deal in Africa.

Former Nigeria boss Sunday Oliseh quit in February over contract issues and the Super Eagles’ African Nations Cup campaign was hit when Chad quit over financial issues — meaning the second place side could not qualify.

  1. Harry Redknapp is an experience manager. This man in previous times has managed West Ham United, Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers, Bournemouth, he won FA Cup for Portsmouth in 2008. So with this kind of profile, one can tell that he may be the right person to change the Nigerian football in few years to come.
