Nasarawa United head coach, Kabir Dogo has said his side are not in any way scared of playing against Enugu Rangers without getting the desired results as the match will be a huge motivation for his players to come all out to challenge for the top prize.
The Solid Miners will be the guests of the Coal City side in Friday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 13 clash at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
“We believe the back to back victories against newcomers, Plateau United and Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) will continue that way at Enugu Rangers.
“Rangers are second on the league log and have done quite well for themselves both on home and away soils so the pedigree is there but not to the extent as to instill fear in us.
“We will pay them due respect on and off the pitch but will never be afraid of the side even with their intimidating tradition.
“Good enough Enugu has always been a fertile ground for us in the last three seasons as we are yet to lose a game there and I strongly believe the matchup on Friday will not be anything different.
“The encounter is a live match so I have charged the players to come out strongly to challenge for the three points at stake.
“We do not have injury worries though the duo, Bature Yaro and Tayo Fabiyi are still down but we have capable replacements.
“We are quite hopeful of getting positive result in the encounter now that the winning mentality of the players is at its peak,” said the former ABS coach.
The Lafia-based side are 11th on the 20-team top flight on 15 points from possible 36 with a game to spare at Sunshine Stars.
