Arsenal Fans’ Train Collides With Cows Before Burnley Match

In an unlikely situation, while heading to Turf Moor for Sunday’s Premier League clash with Burnley, Gunners fans journey to watch Arsenal play against Burnley was disrupted when their Grand Central train collided with a herd of cows.

A scenario fans would have found ridiculous beforehand was very much a reality when, the 9.38am service from King’s Cross to Sunderland reportedly killed eight cows crossing the track between London and Peterborough.

Arsenal fan and writer Tim Stillman tweeted: ‘First game I’m missing in nearly 15 years and it’s cos a train hit a cow.’

Proving that the situation was not being milked, Grand Central said in a statement: ‘Due to animals on the railway between Peterborough and London Kings Cross all lines are blocked. Train services to and from these stations may be subject to disruption on all routes. Disruption is expected until 14:00.’

A slow start to the season, Arsenal have won their last four league games in-a-row and come into Sunday’s clash fresh off the back of a 2-0 Champions League win over Basle.
